Phoenix Strike Eagle Tri-Compax Chronograph-Chronometer / Black Dial 40mm Stainless Steel
The Phoenix Eagle series embodies the classic styling of early American pilot chronographs in a modern 40mm frame. Honest to the original engineering, the Phoenix Eagle series uses an extra thick and gin-clear shatterproof acrylic crystal over the custom dials, while the modern addition of a flat sapphire crystal on the back creates a porthole to view the exquisite finishing and blued steel elements of the Chronograph/Chronometer movement within. Comfortable on the wrist and easy to read, the Phoenix Eagle series use multiple layers of Superluminova on the numerals and hands for superb low-light legibility. Interval timing (chronograph) is actuated by the crisp push-button actuation of a column-wheel system for start/stop and reset, while the smooth action (no-click) of the bi-directional bezel acts as a second time zone. On the dial the tachymeter scale (in white) is used to calculate speed - or units per hour, while the "rate-of-turn" scale (in red) is a pilot-specific function based on the standard turning rate of 3 degrees per second - or 180 degrees per minute.
Limited to 100 individually numbered watches, each example of the Phoenix American Eagle series is hand-built, chronometer regulated, and individually certified as water resistant by our own Certified Master Watchmaker in a state of the art clean room and watchmaking facility right here in the USA.
